Run a Thorough Background Check
Before we let a cleaner join the Joyclean community, we verify their identification, do a social security number trace, and check sex offender registries and criminal databases. We use the accredited background-checking company Accurate Background to perform this investigative work to ensure that it is done to the highest professional standards.
In addition to passing our background check, people who want to provide cleaning services via the Joyclean app must show us that they have professional cleaning experience.
Even with carefully screened cleaners, accidents can still happen. Every time a cleaner goes out on a job that he or she booked through the Joyclean app, we provide one million dollars worth of insurance. It is very unlikely that you will ever need to use this insurance, but we want you to feel secure that if the unexpected happens -- if a cleaner breaks something in your home or if the cleaner gets injured on the job -- you will have access to adequate coverage.
Let You Chat With The Cleaner Before He or She Comes to Your House
We understand that not everyone feels comfortable letting a stranger into their home. That's why we provide an easy way for you to chat with your cleaner before your appointment so you and the cleaner can start getting to know each other right away.
This is how it works: When you request a cleaner using the Joyclean app, the app will find one of our screened, experienced professional cleaners who is in your area and is available at the time you select. As soon as the app makes a match, it will provide you with a name, picture, short bio of the cleaner, along with the cleaner's contact information.
We suggest you contact the cleaner if this is the first time he or she is working for you. You can chat and tell the cleaner about any special requirements you have. This gives you an opportunity to decide if the cleaner meets your needs and to see if you feel comfortable having this person work for you. If so, great! You have a good match. If not, you can get somebody else with just a few more taps on the app.
